Stan Sedo

Stan Sedo received his Ph.D. from The University of Michigan in 1992. He has been a research scientist at The Institute of Labor and Industrial Relations and Lecturer in the department of economics at the University of Michigan since 1999. Currently he is the Administrator at the Michigan Census Research Data Center. Stan's research has been focused on compensation and safety issues in the trucking industry. In addition, he has studied the impact of labor market discrimination on young workers. An important result of this work is the conclusion that the negative effects of discrimination early in a workers' career were rather persistent in the 1960's. However, by the 1980's the consequences of these early setbacks were not nearly so long lasting.
