Chip Hunter

Chip Hunter is Associate Professor of Management and Human Resources at the School of Business of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his Ph.D. from the Sloan School of Management, M.I.T., where he studied human resource management and industrial relations. His research interests include the effects of firms' employment practices on both individuals and organizations, and the relationship of those practices to the use of technology, to customer segmentation strategies, and to the broader environment. He has written on the organization of work in the service sector in settings ranging from long-term nursing care to retail banking to telephone call centers. Dr. Hunter was named Outstanding Young Scholar by the Labor and Employment Relations Association in 2001.
